Abderrahim Chafik and Alain Hubert who are, respectively, the head of the Innovative Uses Development division and an innovation expert, explain how NRB’s Innovation Factory has enabled SPW Digital to set up an efficient methodology between their different teams.
SPW Digital’s mission is clear: to solve users’ (colleagues, companies, citizens) problems and offer them good quality service. In recent years, eight divisions have been created, each with a specific skills set to meet their clients’ needs.
To achieve their ambitions, SPW Digital surrounded themselves with experts in the field of innovation. Very quickly the Public Service of Wallonia turned to NRB and its Innovation Factory. “It was essential for us to call on innovation and technology professionals, and that is exactly what we found at NRB. We have now discovered experts able to help us with technological support and technology watch, in particular”, explains Alain Hubert, innovation expert at SPW Digital.
This fruitful collaboration has made it possible to organise several workshops with the different directorates-general of the public service and to launch several prototypes, thanks especially to the approach and project management provided directly by NRB’s employees. “We have appreciated the Innovation Factory’s experience in cases similar to ours in public administration. The experts from NRB have also given us an insight into an innovative methodology like Design Thinking, not forgetting the support they offered in setting up the different divisions within SPW”, says Abderrahim Chafik, head of the Innovative Uses Development division at SPW Digital.
The result is clear: SPW Digital is continuing to grow and to launch new projects with the entire administration. All thanks to a tried and tested methodology.
