NRB receives the Data News Awards as ‘Data Centre and Hosting Company of the year’
Yesterday evening the yearly Data News Awards for Excellence event took place in the Brussels Expo. Pascal Laffineur, CEO of the NRB Group was called on stage to receive the award for NRB as the ‘Data Centre and Hosting Company of the year’.
For NRB, this award is definitely a recognition of the value of its strategy to offer, amidst global cloud offerings, a solid local alternative to its customers who need a partner that can assure the ‘local component’ of their IT needs. NRB can offer them fully secured Belgian based datacentre and private cloud services, thanks to the continuous investments in its own infrastructure in Herstal (near Liège) and Villers-le-Bouillet. The latter is a brand new datacentre (with a potential capacity of 900 sqm) that went operational in January 2018. In addition, NRB offers a unique cloud platform, called NECS, a portal that allows to create and manage the optimal environment for each individual customer, while using or combining services from multiple environments, i.e. the private cloud of NRB, public cloud providers such as AWS, MS Azure, IBM or Google or even on premise systems at the customer. Moreover as a local partner, NRB’s management, consultants and experts are there to accompany them through all aspects of their digital transformation while fully taking into account their local legal or security constraints and requirements.
