As of the 1st of January 2017, all printing activities of NRB will be transferred to IPEX Liège S.A. that will continue the operations from the site of NRB in Herstal.
In line with its strategic plan, NRB sold its printshop activities, currently employing 29 people to the IPEX Group, a specialised partner for whom printing is part of his core business and who is one of the leading players in these markets. Moreover this company has the specific commercial capacities needed to approach the target audiences for printing that are, after all, different from NRB’s usual IT contacts.
The IPEX Group establishes a new affiliate i.e. IPEX Liège S.A. that takes over the operations, equipment and employees as of the 1st of January 2017.
The IPEX Group is a rapidly growing company based in Saintes in the province of Brabant Wallon in Belgium. It is specialised in printing solutions for customers in different sectors (pharmaceutical, logistics, industry, textile, communication agencies, publishing, etc.). In the context of its growth ambitions in Wallonia, the IPEX Group seized this opportunity to acquire a second production site in the Liège basin.
The impact for the 29 employees of the DWS Printshop is limited as they will continue to work at the Hauts-Sarts site in Herstal: a lease contract has been concluded between NRB and IPEX to occupy the buildings. The rights acquired by employees within NRB will be maintained, in accordance with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement 32 bis.
The impact for the customers is also limited as the contracts will automatically be transferred to IPEX.
NRB has committed to supporting IPEX for several months to ensure that the transfer of operations is realised in the best possible way.
