The ‘CitaGo’ project of the CHR Citadelle won the Innovation Award at the 2016 edition of the event ‘Patient Numérique’, that took place today at the CEME in Charleroi. 300 decision-makers from the healthcare sector tried to answer a very delicate question: Smart Health, where is tomorrow’s medicine heading to?
Mr. Benoît Degotte, CIO and CFO at ‘CHR de la Citadelle' presented a very ambitious project. A project that positions the CHR, one of the largest hospitals in Belgium, as a key player in the digital transformation not only of Liège but also of the entire region. How to (re)invent the connected hospital in a Smart City? By calling on emerging technologies: IoT, Big Data, Mobile …
The ‘CitaHealth’ application, born from a co-investment between ‘CHR de Liège’, the NRB group and its subsidiary Xperthis, is a very good example of those innovations made possible by the adoption of new technologies. Indeed, the 'CitaHealth' application (which is still a working prototype) enables real time exchange of personalised information between the doctor and his patients.
This is a great achievement and a fair reward for the 'CHR' which just paved the way for many other hospitals across Belgium and around the world.
