Groupe Trigone Informatique, based in Paris and specialised in the remote management and maintenance of mainframe systems and distributed environments, now joins the NRB Group, one of Belgium’s leading ICT service providers. Thanks to this acquisition, the NRB Group is making progress in realising its industrial plan: strengthening its portfolio of services and joining forces with a recognised French player to increase its presence beyond its borders.
Trigone, a French company founded in 1982, achieved a turnover of €5 million in 2019. It currently employs 70 people with specific technical skills in IBM’s z environment and in distributed environments. Trigone offers a wide range of IT services, from remote or on-site production management to complete systems management. The mainframe-related activities represent 60% of its turnover. The company also offers consulting services and has significant expertise in systems migration. Trigone works for clients in various sectors, such as France Messagerie (formerly Presstalis), BNP Paribas, AXA, Manpower, Sopra Steria and Société Générale.
“Following recent acquisitions, Trigone’s entry into the NRB Group demonstrates that NRB is pursuing its five-year industrial plan (2017-2022),” confirms Pascal Laffineur, Chief Executive Officer of NRB. “This acquisition enables us to further grow our business beyond our borders, both for mainframe and distributed systems. Our respective clients will benefit from the combined expertise of our teams and enjoy a comprehensive infrastructure offering. With this acquisition we can guarantee proximity to our French customers and long-term quality of service and expertise.”
Denis Burtin, founder and Chief Executive Officer of Trigone, adds “For several years now, we have been looking for a buyer with DNA similar to ours, capable of strengthening and supporting us in our development. In NRB we have found the ideal partner. The complementary nature of Trigone and NRB’s services enables us to pool our skills and generate synergies. NRB will thus be able to offer its customers new services, particularly in terms of 24/7 service coverage. For our part, we will be able to offer our customers a complete package, including hosting, in addition to our existing (remote) operational management services and our specialised consulting, modernisation, migration and development services. Moreover, Trigone can now benefit from state-of-the-art technological support to sustain its development.”
NRB becomes the sole shareholder of Trigone. Trigone will remain a separate legal entity, thus respecting the specificities of this organisation. Denis Burtin will continue to carry out his mission as CEO.
