ORES is the main natural gas and electricity network operator in Wallonia. More than 2,300 people working at ORES and ensure energy supply to more than 1.3 Million households and companies.
To improve and automate the logistics of its distribution center, the company called upon the services of the NRB group for its know-how and IT expertise. The project was twofold:
- On the one hand the implementation of SAP eWM 9.1 and SAP MFS solutions.
- On the other hand, simplification and improvement of the ergonomically designed user interface.
After 16 months of intense collaboration, the new ORES robotics management system "Odicea" was put into production in June. A long process that had to be rewarded since the project was awarded the bronze medal in the category Business Transformation at the SAP Quality Awards organised on 27th of October.
15 candidates were competing in this category. This is clearly a substantial achievement and we would like to credit those who have worked so hard to make it happen.
