Mobile hospital solutions provider joins ZORGI
ZORGI and Mobitrace announced today that they are joining forces to provide hospitals with powerful solutions to meet the challenges of the coming years. In doing so, ZORGI expands its expertise mobile solutions, and Mobitrace strengthens the scope of its current offering and its ability to create new solutions.
"Anyone who has the ambition to meet all the digital needs of a hospital cannot do without mobile solutions," says Melchior Wathelet, CEO of ZORGI, about this strategic step. "Information and process flows are at least as important for the nurse on the way to the patient as they are for the administrative assistant at his or her workstation. If we want to support hospitals in their transformation, we need to be able to provide them with integrated mobile solutions for their care staff but also for their colleagues in other departments."
By partnering with Mobitrace, ZORGI now has several ready-to-use mobile solutions that have already proven themselves in various hospitals. Already today, the integration of the Mobitrace NurseFlow module allows for more efficient monitoring and reporting of patient health information. The ambition is to integrate this solution into existing applications such as Xperthis CARE (ZORGI's electronic patient record) and to create new mobile applications within other existing solutions.
Through this collaboration, the company will benefit from the know-how of a team of experts in mobile solutions, which will strengthen and accelerate the innovation processes within ZORGI.
Mobitrace currently offers mobile solutions for five care processes: measurement and control of vital parameters, paperless nursing, tracking and tracing of blood bags, sample collection, and preparation and administration of medication. Its customers include hospitals such as the ZNA and GZA in Antwerp, the Maria Middelares Hospital in Ghent and the University Hospital in Maastricht.
"The integration between Mobitrace and ZORGI offers many opportunities, both for our existing customers and for potential prospects," said Wilfried Mertens, CEO of Mobitrace. "ZORGI's strong presence within Belgian hospitals will facilitate the deployment of NurseFlow and its integration into the solutions that hospitals already use today."
Independent and integrated
The collaboration will be formalised through a transfer of Mobitrace assets. In the spirit of continuity for customers, partners, and employees, Mobitrace will initially operate as a separate entity, with its own offices and its own business and development strategy. Customers will continue to deal with the team they know. "At the same time, we will immediately start to identify areas where our customers can benefit from the advantages of this integration in the short term," adds Melchior Wathelet. "Now that we have this exceptional combination of talent, we will begin a sustained search for opportunities to innovate. We hope to be able soon to offer our customers other mobile applications in other areas such as pharmacy, logistics or healthcare administration."
