Participating in a sectoral agreement is a voluntary initiative aimed at improving energy efficiency and the specific CO2 emissions within our company.
By joining the sectoral agreements drafted by Agoria and the Wallonia region, NRB has committed to a series of very concrete obligations. In return, we receive partial reductions on certain surcharges from our energy bill.
A win-win agreement!
NRB’s voluntary commitment to this sectoral agreement will offer the following benefits:
- Good knowledge of the company's energy flows via an energy audit conducted at each site, thanks to additional financial support from the public authorities.
- Long-term visibility in terms of the investment programme and energy costs.
- Regular contact between business federations, the civil service and public authorities, and therefore enhanced mutual understanding.
- Ultimately, improved energy efficiency and therefore lower operating costs.
The public authorities, meanwhile, can count on:
- A substantial, objectively measured effort to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions by the industry.
- Criteria for selecting rigorous, intentionally ambitious improvement goals.
- Methodical follow-up of progress made, via the use of objective indicators.
- Improved utilization of resources and knowledge, because potential energy savings are best identified by the internal experts within companies.
