During this exhibition, NRB speakers will present our services and solutions assuring a secure journey to the cloud:
Charles Delhaye heads the consulting and security division of NRB, one of the major provider of ICT services in Belgium. The consulting team covers the following three areas:
- Supporting IT departments during their transformation projects (IT strategic plan and alignment of IT objectives with those of the business lines, operational transformation towards a "service" model, project management, support for outsourcing and the adoption of "cloud" models);
- Assistance in project management (translation of business needs into concrete projects and support for the successful implementation of these projects at the operational and organisational levels);
- IT security risk management (audit and roadmap for iterative improvement of security levels, data and network protection, identity management and access to information and incident management).
This presentation highlights the key success factors for a successful migration of applications and services towards a hybrid cloud environment, i.e. best practices for
a/ IT and security governance (risks assessment & management – application and data classification and adjusted policies);
b/ application re-platforming, while covering all security aspects;
c/ managing access & credentials
d/ preventing information disclosure/deletion
e/ monitoring & defending
f/ cloud access services brokering
For the past 2,5 years, Mathieu Philippart has successfully lead the Solution Delivery Architecture practice at NRB, developing new solutions for its customers and actively participating in NRB’s business development. As of last year, he is also in charge of the Infrastructure Product Management team, further transforming NRB’s Managed Services portfolio and focusing on developing a catalogue in line with today’s cloud demands. Mathieu has 20 years of experience in top Belgian & International companies with core businesses ranging from heavy industry to Consulting & IT services.
In today’s world, businesses are expecting more and more “as a Service” delivery models, in full Opex offering flexibility and innovation. Such demands generate a sector wide cloudification of services and service catalogues. This has lead to a variety of legacy platforms & services that suddenly re-appear in a cloud “format”. And at the same time the demands for Public Cloud explode, whether for IAAS (Azure or AWS Infrastructure), PAAS (Azure SQL, AWS PostGres) or SAAS (Office 365, Dynamics, …) solutions in a pure cloud approach. Today the demand is peaking for hybrid solutions, with strong interactions between legacy applications, private cloud infrastructures and public cloud solutions. NRB’s Enterprise Cloud Services (NECS) have been developed to give an answer to these new challenges, providing an end to end solution from a strong Hybrid Cloud Platform to full cloud Managed Services, completed with expert Advisory Services. Through NECS, NRB believes it has the necessary capabilities to answer the most challenging demands of its customers.
