Following the success of the "Digital Impact" event at Val Saint Lambert in 2019, the NRB Group is organising - in collaboration with Sudinfo, Partena, Cercle de Wallonie, Agoria, RTBF and Trends Tendances - on December 16th, at the Docks Dome in Brussels, a unique event entitled "In digital we trust!?".
This event, which was originally set up as a physical event taking place at the Docks Dome in Brussels, will be entirely transformed into a virtual event.
With this initiative, we want to initiate the debate on "the role of digital in the economic recovery, in relation to the citizen's trust in digital". The post-COVID recovery programmes, as announced at the European, national and regional levels, give digital a vital role as a lever for economic and social recovery. At the same time, digital can only fulfil this leverage role if accompanying measures and initiatives are taken to reduce the digital divide, eliminate inequalities and improve the confidence in digital of citizens, patients, consumers and employees.
This bilingual French-Dutch debate - translated simultaneously – will be open to all during a live broadcast on on the website www.indigitalwetrust.be, on the web TV channels of press partners such as Sudpresse, RTBF (Auvio), and social networks.
Luc de Brabandere, writer, philosopher and professor, will interact live on stage with a panel of personalities from the world of politics, business and academia. He will confront them with the most striking questions and reactions from the street interviews and studio debates that preceded this event.
The final objective is to demonstrate that we are, all together (politics, administrations, academia, business, press...), capable of finding solutions to this relevant societal problem.
